ADVANCEMENT: requirements
information now available in

There are a lot of
advancement changes this year, so wanted to make sure everyone saw
them. One thing to note is that the BSA has brought back 4 MBs from the
archives just for this year: Carpentry, Pathfinding, Signaling, and
Tracking. There are special badges for these, but they do count just
like other MBs.

Important Council Announcements:
·
New for 2011 - As part
of the new tour permit form that BSA National has just rolled out, the
troop is now required to have with them on every activity an
annually-updated health form for all participants (youth and adult).
The form can be downloaded from here, with only parts A
and B required for day events and overnight events (this is just the
health history and related parts). Part C (physical from a doctor or
equivalent) is required for events longer than 72 hours or for
strenuous activities, so for those going to MHA it would be best if we
had the health form before the backpacking trip at the end of May. Note
that this form was the same one as was handed out at the meeting. Since our next trip is the 29th
– 1st, it would be good if everyone could at least do parts
A and B by the next meeting so we can put together a binder to carry to
any such events.
